The Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises of Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam. India’s focus on a strengthened and multi-faceted relationship with ASEAN is an outcome of the significant changes in the world’s political and economic scenario since the early 1990s and India’s own march towards economic liberalisation. India’s search for economic space resulted in the ‘Look East Policy’. The Look East Policy has today matured into a dynamic and action oriented ‘Act East Policy. PM at the 12th ASEAN India Summit and the 9th East Asia Summit held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, in November, 2014, formally enunciated the Act East Policy.

Apart from ASEAN, India has taken other policy initiatives in the region that involve some members of ASEAN like BIMSTEC, MGC etc. India is also an active participant in several regional forums like the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), East Asia Summit (EAS), ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting + (ADMM+) and Expanded ASEAN Maritime Forum (EAMF).

India's relationship with ASEAN is a key pillar of our foreign policy and the foundation of our Act East Policy. The up-gradation of the relationship into a Strategic Partnership in 2012 was a natural progression to the ground covered since India became a Sectoral Partner of the ASEAN in 1992, Dialogue Partner in 1996 and Summit Level Partner in 2002. There are, in total, 30 Dialogue Mechanisms between India and ASEAN, cutting across various sectors.

Mission to ASEAN: India has set up a separate Mission to ASEAN and the EAS in Jakarta in April 2015 with a dedicated Ambassador to strengthen engagement with ASEAN and ASEAN-centric processes.

25th Anniversary of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations: India and ASEAN are observing 25 years of their Dialogue Partnership, 15 years of Summit Level interaction and 5 years of Strategic Partnership throughout 2017 by undertaking a wide range of activities, both in India and through our Missions in ASEAN Member States, which would culminate in a Commemorative Summit on the theme "Shared Values, Common Destiny.”

RBI has just released the official notification for Assistant Exam 2017! The much awaited recruitment notification of RBI Assistant 2017 exam is now out to fill 623 vacancies this year. Since the exam sees lakhs of applications every time it takes place, you can expect the competition to be tough this year too. To beat such heavy competition, you need to start your preparation without wasting any time. Your first step should be to thoroughly understand the new RBI Assistant exam pattern 2017!



Although the exam pattern of RBI Assistant Prelims 2017 remains the same, RBI has introduced 2 major changes in the pattern of RBI Assistant Mains exam. The 2 major changes are:



There’s now sectional time limit in the Mains exam. Earlier there was composite time limit for all the sections.

As a result, you cannot switch between sections now.

Earlier, the total time for RBI Mains exam was 2 hours whereas, this this year you get 2 hours 15 minutes (if you sum up the sectional time limit for each section RBI Assistant Mains)

Also, note that last year the interviews were scrapped and replaced by a Language Proficiency test. This year too, you will have to appear for a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) after you clear the 1st 2 stages i.e. RBI Assistant Prelims and RBI Assistant Mains.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday declared the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2017 on its official website. The examination was held on June 18.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of Civil Services Aptitude Test 2017. The result was announced today, on July 27, 2017

In all, 13365 candidates have qualified for the Civil Services Main Exam and as far as the IFS is concerned, the number of qualifiers is 1352. Despite having a common preliminary examination, the Main examination for both IAS and IFS will be held on different dates, on October 28 and December 03, 2017, precisely.



Candidates who have passed the preliminary exam have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination. They will have to apply online again in a new form (Detailed Application Form ) provided to them.



They should fill up the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online and submit the same online. The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the commission from August 17 to August 31, 2017 till 6pm
