As per initial demand by hardik patel , it seems that he was asking reservation for only Patidar community ( who is quite dominant and rich in gujarat as can be easily seen from their share in gujarat state assembly and their presence in various industries and commercial institutions in gujarat and Their Credible and Reputable image in USA/Other Foreign countries).
But , on seeing the support of people from various states /genres and specially YOUTH .Hardik PAtel turn their demands and he started saying that although he don't support reservation policy , but it at all reservation is needed , it should be on economical grounds and cake of reservation should be shared among all communities ( all communities should have their share ) .
But Hardik Patel is at least successful in forcing indian government to rethink Reservation policy ( if at all GOI still thinks it is a welfare government as enshrined in DPSP's of constitution )
Well , if you analyse , His demands are not illogical and lets consider some points :-
1. Reservation in india is based on caste ( on the grounds of historical atrocities /mistakes of general caste against SC/ST and on account of different culture of various tribal communities present in different parts of india ) .
2. SC/ST are scheduled Castes declared by president from time to time ( it means No uniform SC/ST across india and it differs from state to state ) on recommendation of concerned governor .
3. Reservation to OBC communities was given in 1990s ( finally ) on the recommendations of MANDAL commission on the basis that they are still backward in the race of development and needs gov's support to bring them in front among other general caste people
4. ITs ok ..they need reservation give them so that they can come , but reservation can't be permanent .
5. there should be some sunset clause ( or some Exit policy OR atleast CREAMY LAYER Concept in SC/ST reservation ) .
6. Children from IAS/PCS/Other higher officers/dignitaries get Free scholarships / Job reservation /other concessions in various things like filling forms etc. ...IS THIS FAIR to poor and deprived people from other castes like muslims/hindi and other communities.
Implications of reservations policy on India :-
1. Brain Drain :- Many talented /educated people form general caste leave india and go to USA/Europe and that's the reason why These countries are far far developed than us (atleast 40-50 years ahead of india in developments related to science and technology )...Most popular institution in field of space/technology/medical and other developmental works have indian brains ( which is quite evident from some current examples like sundar pichai/ indra nooyi/ satya nadela / 36% of people in NASA are indians and many examples are there .
2. Poverty/Illiteracy :- because of political dimensions , successive governments only used reservation policy and fooled people ( Even SC/ST/OBC for which this policy was actually started are not benefited from this ...Only powerful and rich from SC/ST/OBC are getting benefit and they are favoriting their own relatives/friends and Nepotism is at peak ....So , Poor are getting more poorer and india still has largest number of poor people in the world and if people dont have enough to feed , how and why should they be inspired to get educated ??
3.Black Money /Corruption and other Economic Angle :- Because of lure of SC/ST reservation , many people try to get enrolled into SC/ST list and when such type of people come into government ..you can easily think they will try to recover money and corruption in government departments will affect working and thats the reason why government departments are not effective / most of the PSU's are in loss ===> Gov. give them subsidy package ==> More financial burden on gov.==> more fiscal deficit ====> more loan /CAD===> more inflation/Tax Rise==> less purchasing power to people ===>> more poverty
So , you can see because of reservation policy india is not able to perform at its full potential and indian economy is suffering /people are suffering .
4. Rise of New political Powers :- Because of discontent among various strata of society , people may easily get attracted towards new people (like hardik patel)/New parties (AAP) .
5. Increase in Organised Crime :- If educated and deserving people dont get job , they become FREE ...empty mind is the home of all evils , they will find new ways to earn money to survive and may get involved in ORganised crime/Cyber Crime .
There may be hell lot of implications like security /strategic and various other concerns .
Government should not underestimate the power of people and should form a committee /or should take some steps to RELOOK Reservation policy .
WHY NOT REservation in Sports/Medical Facilities to politicians /Pilots and others:-
We completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting reservation .
Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation for Muslims. 30 percent for OBC, SC /ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century. We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.
Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.
There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and politicians (that can really help the country.. )
Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..)
Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward...
Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of being an INDIAN..
Suggestions :-
1. Reservation should be totally on Economic Grounds and it should be given to all communities of india (hindu/ muslims/christian/sikhs/parsis/buddhists/jains/OThers ) .
2. there should be some Exit policy and sunset Clause so that once poor and deprived people come to main strata of society , their reservation should be cancelled to their future reservations ..
OR Atleast bring CREAMY Layer concept to SC/ST.
3. Focus on imparting Full education and livelihood facilities ( FREE Education/Free Books /Free Food etc ) to every caste whatever government think necessary .
4. At Least a Review of reservation in a particular time period .
India can be developed to its full potential only by utilising its talent , Bring Equality to Society , various attractive schemes to prevent Brain Drain
These are our personal views and are written in context of current happenings and CURSE of GENERAL YOUTH .
