MOM completed One year

MOM i.e. Mars Orbiter Mission has completed one year in orbit around Mars.

On Sept. 24, 2014, India became the only country to reach the red planet at first attempt with its probe, Mangalyaan, and did it on a tighter budget than any other nation before it.

Here’s how India mounted the cheapest mission to Mars.

Now the satellite has spent a year successfully circling the planet, studying its surface and sending back breathtaking pictures.

To mark the occasion, the Indian Space Research Organization has compiled a “Mars Atlas” with images taken by the camera aboard the satellite.

The mission currently has no estimated end date.
